Seems to me it would need to be slightly over 12v in order to charge the battery or are you talking about the ignition winding? Does it not run? Yes I'm talking about the ignition wires. It think they are ac. They only show 2 to 3 ac volts. It dosent have spark. Of all the stators I have tested quite a fewI don't believe I have ever seen a spec for that. The tests I have seen are for resistance.

But I was wondering what volts it puts too. Rides, Events, Locations. All times are GMT The time now is AM. All rights reserved.Forums New posts Search forums. Thread starter kylemm Start date Jan 9, Charles MO. So thought I had this quad ready to ride. Went out to start it and no spark. Nothing at all. I looked up the service manual about testing the stator. Here is the plug im working with. I get nothing. Open circut between this connectors. The thing I'm questioning is it shows the pins should be diagonal each other and mine are on top of each other.

Next it says to ohm the yellow and blue wires For reference this is what I'm going off. I really hope I'm missing something because this is driving me nuts. I did have to replace my starter bearing a few weeks ago and deleted my parking brake. But I did ride the quad after those mods were done.

I recently got a 98 warrior that 'needed the carb adjusted' but the reality is it has no spark. I have a new spark plug, plug wire, ignition coil, battery, and cdi box.

The key switch seems to be working properly, as when off, nothing works, but when switched on, lights and electric starter button work. It turns over fine, and as I just stated, all the lights work.

I took all the plastics off and traced all the wires, and only one had a small cut in it, but it was only through the rubber sheathing, not the wire itself the blue one coming from the stator. I cleaned some grounds, made sure both relays work, and still nothing. I pulled the stator cover and looked at the stator itself, and it looks great.

No broken wires or connectors or anything. Still, no spark. I'm at a loss. Where do I go next? Any help is appreciated. You looked at the stator coil and said it looks good. Only half the stators that go bad are visibly noticeable. Some of the failures happen inside the coils. So having said that you can test the stator coil with an electrical tester.

Do you know the procedure to test the stator? I've read that the wire colors are different on each year model so it's hard to find the exact test. Locate the stator wires. They should be three wires going into the engine side cover on the left side of the bike.

Total of five wires go into the engine cover. Unplug the stator from the harness. First thing to do is connect one of the tester leads to a good ground on the bike frame. Take the second test lead and put it on one of the three stator wires at a time.

Look at the tester and see if you get any readings. Do the same for all three wires. Your tester should show numbers from each wire to wire. They should be very close to each other. Write them down and then check the manual, it will show you the exact number range it should be in.Yamaha introduced the Warrior ATV, a four wheeler with two-wheel drive, in the late s. I got a 94 warrior that I bought as just a frame with a few things on it but was still missing a lot anyways the wiring harness was there along with cdi and coil i purchased the used stator on ebay.

I have since purchased a new coil and am using a known to be good cdi still no spark accept one time I got one spark and that's it.

Yamaha Warrior 350 Specifications

The warrior cranks when I hit the starter every time. I did the stator test and here are my results blue - white ohms, yellow - green ohms, and red brown ohms what is bad I've seen so many numbers. Also is there something stupid not letting there be spark like the fact that I have no clutch switch I've tried putting the two wires together and leaving them open still nothing also my reverse light is off like it should be and my neutral light is on what else could keep it from sparking also all my relays seem to be kicking on, my kill switch is hooked up and doesn't let the motor crank when it's off like it should.

I've tested continuity on all wires and they are all good no breaks. I'm at a loss as to what to do next I would hate to order a new stator and that not be it. But that seems to be the only thing, also I got 80 volts coming out of the red - brown and like 0. I just keep getting overload out of the cdi to the coil. I tried to include everything thanks in advance I just want to get this thing running.

Is the rectifier still good? What's the pick up coil ohming? I get the source and the pickup mixed up but there the two that are together correct.

If so those two are measuring around ohms and I haven't checked the rectifier yet I completely forgot about it. I will check it when I get home how can I tell if it's bad. If that's all its ohming at then the picup coils bad its supposed to ohm around ohms. I actually don't know but on the o the pickup is the green and red wires.Registration is fast and you can even login with social network accounts to sync your profiles and content.
